Prepping for Damian's Christmas Village 2025!

I'm SO excited today (appropriately on Giving Tuesday) to announce my plans for our final fundraiser event for 2025!
Last year was our first time doing Damian's Christmas Village and it was such a big push to get it done, but a BIG help this year has been the ability to build off of everything I made last year, rather than start completely from scratch. A lot of cleaning and touching up has been required so far, but everything is going up MUCH quicker! And just like our Halloween fundraiser, I plan to add more and more every year. It only gets bigger and better from here :)
Here's the plan
1) Peppermint Mickey is BACK - in fact, I'm hoping to have him all painted by tonight (unfortunately last year's cover wasn't salvageable after a year in storage - I'm hoping this time it will keep better)! I was SO pleased with how much nicer our pumpkin Mickey looked with two grand lampposts on either side, and those lampposts are staying for Christmas! That means I need to swap out all the fall harvest colors in the bunting and flowers with red and green - should I top off each lamppost with a wreath or a big bow??
2) Our Christmas Village is going to be bigger and better than ever! We had such a sweet Victorian village last year, but there will be even more quaint buildings and surprises added to the mix this year!
3) Our hot cocoa and cider will be available on tap once again this year, and we will have a host of yummy baked goods for sale as well!
4) And it wouldn't be a Brittany-produced event without some holiday magic, and so of COURSE we will be bringing back our magical snow machine! Last year, just dancing around in the falling snow was worth the visit (and even repeat visits) for the majority of our visitors!
AND BRAND-NEW THIS YEAR!!!
5) Pluto's Pumpkin Patch is becoming a Christmas Tree Farm! Last year we didn't have a photo op in this area at all, so this a big expansion that's going to be full of string lights and beautiful greenery - it's going to be perfect for capturing those nostalgic outdoor family photos!
6) For years I have been wanting to do SOMETHING in our backyard and this year I'm SO excited to welcome you back - on select nights only! I have perhaps done the impossible and booked the most sought-after storyteller/performer EVER (at least, in our family *wink wink*) to perform a new adaptation of the classic ghost story, A Christmas Carol!
That's right, our very own Brock Markham is going to be dressing up in his Victorian best and delivering a one-of-a-kind performance on select nights! Brock is, of course, a seasoned professional performer, but we've never done anything like this out of our home, so I am SO excited to work on this production - and hopefully we'll be able to do more things like this in the future!

Our BIG Goal
My big dream would be for our campaign to reach $1.16 million by the end of the year - that means this month we need to raise $8,597. If we received an average donation of $20, that comes out to be 430 donors. We can TOTALLY find 430 people, right??
Ok, gotta run outside and finish painting the biggest peppermint in Los Angeles! This year is going to be the most magical and wonderful Christmas yet, I just know it!
